Principal
Dear Bulldogs, families and community members:
Welcome to Corvallis Middle School STEAM Magnet! I am excited to be the principal for the upcoming school year 2024-25. I am proud to continue the work of making Corvallis Middle School a welcoming and safe learning environment for all students. At Corvallis, students are able to discover and explore their passion, while developing the necessary knowledge, skills and character to be successful in high school, college and beyond.
Our priority is to provide students with high quality instruction, inquiry based lessons and equitable access to a learning environment. Our teachers will strive to support students through a consistent focus on academic achievement. Meanwhile, the counseling team will continue to develop our students social emotional well being.
Our Bulldogs will have the opportunity to participate in one of various electives that are part of our STEAM Magnet program. These electives include Project Lead the Way (Computer Science for Innovators and Makers, Design and Modeling, Computer Science Essentials, and Flight and Space), AVID 6 -8, Performing and Visual Arts (Drama, Dance, Art, and Music), Leadership, and intervention classes for those that need support.
Furthermore, our students can enrich their experience at Corvallis by participating in our ASES - After School program, the athletic program (football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, soccer, softball and track & field), cheerleading, and academic pentathlon. We have options to peak the interests of our students.
In partnership with parents and families, we look forward to seeing our Bulldogs thrive academically and socially this school year. We invite parents to take part in: School Site Council, PTSA, ELAC, workshops and volunteer to coach sports or support school events. We hope that parents will be active in our school community.
I look forward to ensuring the district’s theme of “Every Hand, Every Heart, Every Mind - Together We Thrive: Uniting for Excellence” as we embark on this academic year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rosales
Proud Principal of Corvallis Middle School STEAM Magnet
